CHENG LIE NAVIGATION IS MOVING AHEAD WITH THE LAUNCHING OF TWO NEW SERVICES BETWEEN CHINA AND INDIA

 

Further to the acquisition of CNC by CMA CGM last April, Cheng Lie Navigation is pleased to announce an important expansion plan for the coming months with the launching of two new services between China and India

The first one, a new China/Korea - Southeast Asia - India service to be called “NIX” (New India Express), will focus on the West coast of India i.e. Nhava Sheva., and will be launched in partnership with Korea Marine Transport Co., Ltd.(KMTC).

This new fixed day weekly service will operate with 5 containerships (4 KMTC including 2 vessels X 1,860teu, 1 Cheng Lie Navigation Co).

Commencing on July 29th in Busan, its rotation will cover Xingang – Qingdao – Busan - Hong Kong – Shekou – Singapore - Port Klang - Nhava Sheva -Port Klang – Singapore - Hong Kong – Busan - Xingang.

The second one, a new North China – South India Express Service named “NCC”, to be deployed from North China to Chennai, is designed to serve between the booming China market and East Coast of India (ie Chennai), and will be launched in partnership with WAN HAI Lines, and Sea Consortium. NCC will operate with 4 x 1,700 TEUs vessels and will offer one of the fastest direct callers from 3 China Ports - Qingdao, Lianyungang and Shanghai - to Chennai, i.e. average 10 days from Shanghai and 12 days from North China to Chennai.

Starting in September 2007, the rotation of this service will be as follows: Qingdao – Lianyungang – Shanghai – Singapore – Port Kelang – Chennai – Port Kelang – Singapore – Hongkong – Qingdao. “These new services are expected to meet our customers’ needs, and will allow connect growing container markets of China to Southeast-Asia and India.” says Igal Dafni, President of Cheng Lie Navigation Co Ltd. These new developments demonstrate the strong willingness of Cheng Lie Navigation to expand further.
